Using bold colors and strokes, Brian uses paint to express thoughts and feelings. While many works start with an emotion, message or image, he relishes the idea that his art does not have to tell a complete story; rather, each piece is the beginning of a new conversation. Fascinated with contrasts in shapes, colors, and figures, he dances between literal and abstract. To him, each person brings his own interpretation to each work and thereby continues the dialogue.
A true balance between left and right brain, he is an Electrical Engineer who balances his analytical nature through artistic expression. His works combine strong images with complex vivid palettes. Always seeking new ways to evoke emotional response, Brian continues to evolve his personal style.
Whether through the written word, music, his own clothing line, costume design, lighting and themed décor, and now painting, Brian has always found a way to express his creativity. Brian was born in Jacksonville, FL and grew up predominately in Huntsville, AL. He has lived and traveled extensively abroad. Brian holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is based in Dallas, TX.
